Skin tags are very common, harmless growths that become more frequent with age. They often appear where skin rubs, such as the neck, armpits, groin and eyelids.

They do not need treatment, but they can catch on clothing or jewellery and become sore, or you may prefer to have them removed.

## How We Can Help

- Checking that a lesion is a skin tag and not something that needs a different approach.
- Discussion of removal options, such as snip excision or cryotherapy, where suitable.
- Removal for cosmetic reasons is usually self-pay; most insurers do not cover it.
